Aged white tea Gong Mei has a nice plum aroma while smelling from the dry tea leaves. Gong Mei is a easy to make tea. You can steep with boiled water or just brewing it over a candle light. I like to mix it with some chrysanthemums and brown sugar, like I mention it in my blog. It is very relaxing and calming tea to drink.

Brewing Instruction:

1. Measure the tea as 3-3.3grams for every 100ml water

2. Heat up the tea pot with hot water

3. Put the tea in and rinse it quickly with 200-210F  hot water.  You don’t need to fill up the tea pot, as long as you wet all your tea leaves you should be totally fine.

4. Fill up the tea pot with 194F water and let it soak for a minute.

5 Enjoy the tea!

6. For the following steeps, please make sure you add 20 seconds to each steep. After third steep, you might want to re heat up your water to 194F above.

The tastiest aged BMD

i have been a fan of aged white teas for a while having first experienced a 2008 aged baimudan from a local tea shop. high quality aged white teas are really hard to find and can be way expensive, the 2008 one was 70cent/g. i've been searching for a more affordable version and this 2003 from here blows away the competition, and a great value. because this cake has high grade leaves 5g will give you a rich gold brew, thick mouth feel, tastes of sugarcane and ripe pear, and up to 10 steeps with no astringency. and make sure to smell your cup after you finished the tea, the aroma is tantalizing!
