Old Tree Dan Kong Da Wu Ye (老叢大烏葉）has a really nice full body floral aroma, a strong honey taste for the first three steeps. A soft and quiet aroma for the fourth till sixth steeps. The floral aroma and honey taste are pretty good even after 10 steeps!
If you love tea with high floral aroma, you should definitely try this tea.
The 8gram and 10gram sample order is also available, if you would like to taste it.
I use Chao Zhou Gong Fu style to brew this tea. If you are new to Dan Cong or haven’t tried Chao Zhou Gong Fu brew, I would recommend to start from higher tea to water ratio - i.e. every 4-5 grams tea to every 100ml water, brewing with 200-210F water and the steeping time should be less than 2 seconds for the first three steeps. Or you can start from the entry level Dan Cong in my shop i.e. the Dan Cong Osmanthus.
A beautiful morning tea!
Wow, this tea makes you realize how aromatic and delicate a fine tea can taste. I drink tea regularly, but mostly just bagged and some loose leaf--nothing compares to this level of sophistication and complexity. The first cup tasted so different from the second and the third, and each one was a unique experience. It was both relaxing and energizing. Drinking tea like this really does feel like experiencing art!
